Welcome to another episode of Driving With Nick Pratt. I am actually stuck in traffic right now, which is kind of topical – in this episode, I want to talk about all about four specific tips to get free internet traffic.
Let’s talk about the pros and cons of free internet traffic or free website visitors. First of all, a lot of people will say that paid traffic is the only kind of traffic that is scaleable and the only kind of traffic that you should focus on, and I sort of agree with that. It’s definitely something that you want to get to eventually. However, for a newbie, or just anyone who wants leverage, paid traffic is just one way of doing it.
Paid traffic is a fantastic, but it’s also an advanced skill set, and something you’ll get better at over the long term. It’s absolutely where you want to be in the long term, but the point is, a lot of leader I know, and myself, we use content marketing, we get free internet traffic as well as paid traffic. You don’t have to do just one or the other.
Let’s talk about these 4 specific tips for free internet traffic.
Tip 1: Create Content
I’ve been going on a lot recently about content marketing, and the power of that. The point is, what you’re watching now is content, it’s training content. I have content that I created years ago that’s still generating me 5 leads per day. It’s a blog post I created years ago that’s still generating me leads. This very video could end up generating many, many leads over it’s life span, literally forever. Content marketing is very, very powerful.

Tip 2: Use Social Media
What you have to understand is over the last 5 years, the way things have developed, all the traffic on the internet is pretty much Google, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter. That’s where people hang out. The social media sites like Facebook and things like that, people are absolutely hooked on them. They are the equivalent of the busy marketplace online. Everybody goes to them, and it’s really what you want to be doing with your market. So along with creating content, you want to be leveraging social media to get that kind of viral effect and get people sharing it.
We are talking Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, all fantastic conduits to get you out there and get you exposure.
Tip 3: Get The Right Training
This stuff is not easy. This video I am doing for you now, first of all I’ve had to do some research to find out what good key words to go after are. And then, I obviously had to go through training in the past on how to rank this content. Do not try to do all this stuff without the proper training.
Tip 4: Get Help
If you can, get some assistants in your company, there are some fantastic tools out there, there’s also outsourcing and things like that. There are lots of ways to get help getting your content produced. I’ve used writers, I’ve got people who help me with content production, and it’s absolutely the thing to do if you really want to scale up, rather than trying to do it all yourself.
