Tiffany: Nick, as a marketer, how do you get someone to respect, like and trust you?
That’s a good question. This is something I train on a lot so I am glad that you’ve asked this one.
This is also known as “know, like and trust.”
There is a saying that people only buy from those they know, like and trust. This is mainly what I train on, which is how you actually get people to trust you.
When you’re promoting online, it could be your home business opportunity, people are unbelievably sceptical.
They have good reason to be because they don’t know who you are.
The number one thing I’ll say is that you lead with a free lead magnet that is branded to you. This is something that me and you both do – but if you’re interested in lead magnets, I have a video I did recently you can check out here.
But basically, it’s a free offer, an Ebook, video training series, or cheat sheet. It’s basically a free irresistible offer that you are giving in return for someone’s email address.
We obviously know quite a bit about this, and the reason it’s powerful is that first impressions really count. On the front end, people need to see you as an authority. We are psychologically biased to listen to those in authority, so you’ve got to demonstrate yourself as an authority. If you have an Ebook with your name on the front cover like I’ve got, or a video training series with my name on the front cover, it shows people that I know what I am talking about and that they should listen to me.
After this has happened, I also provide a lot of value and valuable emails. I don’t just sell all the time. That’s important. You need to give away a lot of stuff for free, but not too much. You need to also ask for the sale.
A proper straight answer to the question is lead with a free, irresistible offer that is completely branded to you, because that way all your leads will see you as an authority.
