Hi guys, welcome to another episode of Nick Pratt TV. In this episode, I am going to talk about the one major obstacle in home business, or just business in general.
What’s the major obstacle I am talking about that people struggle with in home business and all business?
It’s basically not handling rejection, or being offended.
Obviously, this definitely applies to something like network marketing, home business or if you’re building an affiliate program. If you’re someone who doesn’t deal well with rejection, such as someone not wanting to join your team or buy your products, then it’s going to be a short journey for you.
You have to understand that marketing is a numbers game. Every single week I have lots of people who may reject a product I am promoting, or an opportunity. That’s fine, because there are plenty of other people who are joining my team every day, they are buying something from me.
Marketing is a numbers game, and you will never close 100%. If you’re MLM, network marketing, direct sales, top tier, it doesn’t matter what it is – you’re going to have to just keep pushing on past rejections and things not going your way.
It’s a people business, after all.
Even if you’re doing it online, people will reject online.
The other thing is, let’s say you are doing online marketing like I am. The better you’re doing, the more leads you get and the more traffic you get, you’ll also get more people replying to your emails in all capital letters saying “Go away!” and things like that.
You can’t be offended by things like that.
you’ve got to understand that you’ll get haters, people that complain about being emailed. All the top earners, including myself, we all deal with that stuff and it just shows you that you’re doing a great job.
When I get a reply from someone saying they are getting too many emails, I just think “Yes, I am doing the right thing,” because that is balanced out by all the people saying the love my emails and content, and thank you so much.
I’ve talk to some people in the industry, they get offended when they get an email like that. I can’t understand that at all.
The major obstacle is not being able to deal with rejection and things not going your way. This applies to home business a lot, but it also applies to all forms of business. Let’s say you’re running a consultancy business. Not every body is going to become a client, no one scores 100% in their close rate.
